Universal prayer intention for October

We pray that every baptized person may be engaged in evangelization, available to the mission, by being witnesses of a life that has the flavour of the Gospel.

Please note that face-coverings are no longer mandatory, but remain strongly encouraged by the Government in indoor spaces, especially when moving around. Also, whilst physical-distancing requirements have also been removed, please be aware that some people may wish to have space around them.  Sensitivity towards others is the guiding principle.  The current (newly-revised) Risk Assessment is displayed in the porch.

**Please kindly note and observe the following, with regard to Holy Communion (if you are using a face-covering):

·        Please loosen face-covering as you approach the place of distribution (please do not approach the priest with the covering still in place)

·        Receive the Sacred Host onto the hand or tongue and consume immediately

·        Replace face-covering

·        Return to place

Please pray for the repose of the soul of Joy Cocks, a longstanding worshipper here.  Joy’s Funeral Mass is tomorrow at 11.15am, prior to cremation.

*Please note that there are no Masses from Wednesday to Saturday this week; and that Tuesday’s Mass is at the earlier time of 8.30am.  All resumes the week after.

Thank you to all for the harvest offerings last Sunday.  These were delivered to Lancaster & District Homeless Action on Monday.

Sunday Coffee? We can do this, but only if there are enough volunteers to make a rota.  If you can help with this, please let Elizabeth Battersby-Hill know.

Children’s Society boxes Please return boxes for emptying as soon as you can.  If you would like a home collection box for the critical work of this Society, please contact Susan Garth (732421).
