EASTER SEQUENCE (to be recited by all today) Christians to the Paschal Victim, offer sacrifice and praise. The sheep are ransomed by the Lamb; and Christ the undefiled, hath sinners to his Father reconciled. Death with life contended: combat strangely ended! Life’s own Champion slain, yet lives to reign. Tell us, Mary: say what thou didst see upon the way. The tomb the living did enclose; I saw Christ’s glory as he rose! The angels there attesting; shroud with grave-clothes resting. Christ, my hope, has risen: he goes before you into Galilee. That Christ is truly risen from the dead we know. Victorious king, thy mercy show!

THIS IS EASTER WEEK so do try and come to the Eucharist whenever you can.  Each day, we are presented with an account of an appearance of the Risen Lord, and every day this week is a feast day.

THANK YOU to our readers, servers, intercessors, choir and organist, sacristan, cleaners and those who prepared linen and flowers.  We really do appreciate your efforts very much.

***EXPOSITION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT will be from 6.45pm until just before the 7.15pm Mass on Thursdays throughout Eastertide.  This should help us to focus on the Easter mystery as the source and origin of the sacramental life of the Church, as well as helping us to prepare for the Mass. EASTER CARDS for sale at the back of church today. ACS LENT BOXES Please return these as soon as you can.

STEWARDSHIP ENVELOPES There are still some at the back of church today.  Please take and pass on any for those who live near you.  Thank you.

CROSS OF REMEMBRANCE As last year, a large cross for the names of departed loved ones is now in place.  You are invited to place names on the cross.  Mass will be offered for them on Saturday.  Slips for names at the back of church today.

READERS Please collect your readings from the sacristy.  Thank you.

CHURCH GARDENS We need perhaps two volunteers to maintain the borders around the church.  Moira Dootson is to look after the path (a constant challenge), Paul Threlfall does the edges of the car park, but we need people to turn the soil etc.

EASTERTIDE PARISH LUNCH Sunday22nd April at noon.  Tickets £3.00 from Elizabeth Battersby-Hill, Vicky Rowbottom or Fr Chris.  Children free.  Do bring family and friends.

ARCHDEACON’S VISITATION Wednesday 2nd May, at Silverdale.  This year, it is again for PCC members.  Sidespersons will be admitted to office here during the 10.00am Mass on Sunday 6th May.
