PLEASE NOTE: Because of the greater incidence and spread of swine flu,
the Bishop has decreed that Holy Communion will be given under the form of
consecrated bread alone until further notice. 
Also, those who normally receive the Host directly
upon the tongue are asked to receive in the hand.

*WALSINGHAM PILGRIMAGE Thursday this week until Sunday. 
There is an extra Mass on Thursday this week at 8.30am for
pilgrims prior to their journey or for anyone who would like to come. 
Pilgrims will receive any requests for prayer to be offered at the shrine. 
Morning Prayer on Thursday is at 8.10am.

MANSERGH’S APPRENTICE TRUST There is a meeting of the trustees (of which Fr Stephen is one)
on Wednesday 18th November at 7.00pm at the George Washington in Warton. 
The trust gives grants to apprentices. 
Please make this known to anyone who may be able to benefit.

SAINT OF THE WEEK
(S Leo the Great – Tuesday)
Born in Tuscany, he became Pope in 440.  He is venerated by the Church as a true
father and shepherd to his people, as well as for his theological astuteness. 
He defended the Church and the Christian faith from the incursions of the barbarians.
