FOURTH ORDINARY SUNDAY

Christian prophecy must reveal something of the love of God. 
It is this love which expresses our concern for the world. 
Let us pray today for the grace to be able to speak and live the truth in love.

A special welcome today to Isla Terri Phizackerley,
who today joins us in the fellowship of the Universal
Church through the sacrament of Holy Baptism.

Blessing and Procession of Candles and Sung Mass at 7.30pm. 
Do please make sure to come and join us as we celebrate Christ as the light of all peoples.

LENT begins on 17th February.  Please bring your palm crosses back so that they can be burned to
make the ash for Ash Wednesday.

PATÉ AND PUDDINGS – a chance to feast before the Fast, Shrove Tuesday 16th February,
7.30pm at Fr Chris’ house 10 Croasdale Close.  Tickets £5.00.  Please bring a bottle.

LENT COURSE at Fr Chris’.  Three meetings: 18th February, 4th and 18th March.  8.00pm,
finishing with Night Prayer at 8.55pm.  This course focuses upon the Eucharistic Prayer of the Mass. 
If you are intending to come, please get a companion booklet from Fr Chris.

REFLECTION
The feast of Candlemas on Tuesday reminds us of the common humanity
we share with all people of every race and time.  Christ is for everyone;
it is he and no-one else who is the light to lead us to salvation.
