Do support this and, if you pay tax, please use a GIFT AID envelope and mark it ‘Christmas Stars’. Thank you.
FREE ADVENT BOOKLETS were given out last Sunday.
If you haven’t got one, please take one today.
ADVENT EXTRA (entitled ‘Your Journey to Christmas’) is also available as usual,
at £1.50. This year, it comes in a smaller format.
READERS Please collect your readings from the sacristy. Thank you.
ADVENT THOUGHT
What does it mean to ‘Stay awake’, as we are bidden by Christ in the Gospel?
It means striving to live as if the Lord would return at any moment to inaugurate his Kingdom.
It means being prepared to meet him; as indeed we do each and every day in the course of
our lives in those around us. When we fail to recognise him, it will be because
we are insufficiently ‘awake’.
