important role if we wish the school to have a Christian character.
WEEKLY ENVELOPES New boxes of envelopes are available today. Please take yours and anyone’s who
lives near you and who is not here today. If you do not already contribute through this scheme
and wish to do so, please contact John Holland. The system is confidential and there is no
commitment to a particular weekly giving amount, and it is an easy way to allow the Church to
claim GIFT AID on your giving. If you are a regular giver who pays tax and you have not signed a GIFT AID form,
you are not maximising your giving. If you give under GIFT AID, every pound you give is worth £1.28 to us.
A REMINDER If you would like to consider confirmation this year, there will be a meeting at 10.00am in the school
on Saturday 15th May so that you can find out more.
CAR PARK If you come to church by car on Sundays, and are able-bodied, please help us to fill up the car

LENTEN THOUGHT
The parable of the prodigal son is better described as the parable of the forgiving father.
It conveys to us just something of God’s forgiving love for us whenever we turn to him in true penitence.
My hope is that the Preparing for Easter leaflet will prove helpful. The Sacrament of Reconciliation makes
this love tangible for us.
