Today, we celebrate the most important day in the Christian calendar, the greatest event in history.  We praise the Risen Christ who has triumphed over sin and death!  Alleluia!

We welcome into the fellowship of the Universal Church Scarlett Rose Mason, through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism.  Welcome, too, to her family and friends.

• Toilets are to the left out of the main door.
• Please let young children explore.
• Collection during the second hymn.
• Large print hymn books are available on request.

ROSARY Glorious Mysteries tomorrow at 7.30pm.  All welcome.

THIS IS EASTER WEEK so do try to come to the Eucharist whenever you can.
Each day this week, we are presented with an account of the Risen Lord.

In most churches (or wherever they celebrate the Easter Octave at all!),
attendances are rather poor.  This may perhaps be understandable but the
fact is that every day this week is a feast day.

PLEASE PRAY each day, respectively, for all who live in Whernside Grove,
Windermere Road, Yealand Grove, Alamein Road, Albert Street and Alexandra Road.

YOUTH GROUP resumes next Sunday at 6.00pm.

EASTER LILIES etc.  Please put your name on the list if you would like to
contribute towards the cost, and please use a GIFT AID envelope if you can.  Thank you.

THANK YOU to our readers, servers, choir and organist, sacristan and those who
cleaned the church and prepared linen and flowers.  We appreciate all your efforts very much.

LENT BOXES Please return these next Sunday and cross your name off the list.  Thank you.

WALSINGHAM CELL The meeting at Warton scheduled for Wednesday 14th April has had to be changed.
The new date is Wednesday 5th May.  Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and Benediction at 7.30pm.  All welcome.

BISHOP’S PRIMARY VISITATION Tuesday 4th May, 7.30pm at Warton.  Churchwardens will be admitted
to office (not sidespersons this time) and all PCC members are encouraged to attend.
This replaces the usual Archdeacon’s Visitation.

FORWARD! Plus, the quarterly paper of Forward in Faith, is available in church.  Please take a free copy.

SCHOOL GOVERNING BODY There is a vacancy for someone to become a Foundation governor
(to represent the parish).  If you might be interested, please see Fr Stephen. It’s an
important role if we wish the school to have a Christian character.

CAR PARK If you come to church by car on Sundays, and are able-bodied, please help us to
fill up the car park from the bottom so that anyone who is infirm has less distance to walk.  Thank you.

READERS Please collect your readings from the sacristy.  Thank you.

EASTER  THOUGHT
What does Easter do for us?  Of course, Jesus’ resurrection does not spare us
physical death, but it does release the ultimate hold that physical death has over us.
It does enable us to envisage something other than the inevitability of everlasting death.
To gain this ‘other’, we are called to respond to the offer of everlasting life with
our love and commitment, embracing our share in the sufferings of Christ.
