Jesus enters Jerusalem to accomplish his saving work on our behalf.  Today, we are called to be his faithful companions through all the events of Holy Week.

MAUNDY THURSDAY WATCH Thank you to those who have already committed to cover a slot.   We need more now, so that we have a decent number for each of the half-hour slots.
EASTER FLOWER LIST is in church today.  If you wish to contribute, please use a GIFT AID envelope in you pay tax, and mark the envelope ‘Flowers’.
NEW GLORIA We are introducing a new setting of the Gloria, composed by Ann Bond, on Easter Sunday.  This will give us an extra option.  Do please engage with it and try to learn it – it’s designed for congregational use.
CROSS OF REMEMBRANCE The large cross for church for Holy Week and Easter is now in place and you are invited to write the names of any departed loved ones on a card so that it may attached to the cross.

SCHOOL FOUNDATION GOVERNOR We have a vacancy on the school governing body for someone to help represent the concerns of the parish and serve the Christian foundation of the school.  This is very necessary at the present time.  Please have a word with Fr Stephen if you’d like to know more about this.
ARCHDEACON’S VISITATION This year, it’s for PCC members (not sidespersons) and takes place at Lancaster Priory on Tuesday 3rd May at 7.30pm.   More details later.
SIDESPERSONS will be admitted to office in the parish this year at the 10.00am Mass on Sunday 8th May.  Please be sure to be in attendance then.

LENT COURSE entitled ‘Who are we?’ This Tuesday’s session is at 9 The Green, Bolton le Sands LA5 8FD, Pauline’s Sterritt’s home.  The topic is to do with current threats to the Church of England’s historic self-understanding.  All welcome.
ANNUAL PAROCHIAL CHURCH MEETING next Sunday at 11.15 (approx.). Election of churchwardens, PCC, Deanery Synod representatives, plus brief reports and an opportunity to thank those who give of their time for the good ordering of the parish church.  It’s not a long meeting, so please do stay behind after the 10.00am Mass.
