CONFIRMATION 2011 There is a meeting (30 minutes at most) in the school hall on Saturday at 10.00am for anyone considering preparing for confirmation this year.  This is an opportunity to learn more about what’s entailed.  Please use the entrance by the school car park.
SATURDAY COFFEE 10-12noon in the choir vestry.
AN UNUSUAL REQUEST Karen Jones is involved in a project collecting unwanted bras, to be sent to women in developing countries.  Please hand any to her during the rest of this month.
SOCIETY OF ST WILFRID AND ST HILDA Thank you to all who have signed up to this so quickly and in such good numbers.  This Society is not so much about opposing women bishops (since that is going to happen at some point anyway) but about maintaining the Church of England’s comprehensiveness. Please make sure that you sign up if you want to see an enduring place in the Church of England for parishes like our own and for all who wish to hold fast to the Church’s historic teaching and practice.  Rather than send the forms back to SSWSH directly, you can hand them to Fr Chris or to Fr Stephen and we will gladly send them back as a batch.  It is hoped that everyone will sign up.  We must respond now – don’t let the liberals undermine traditional order and wreck the Church of England completely, turning it into a politically-correct sect.
LADYEWELL PILGRIMAGE 2011 Saturday 4th June.  Please let one of the clergy know if you’d like to go.
NEW GLORIA We are learning a new setting of the Gloria on Sundays during Eastertide, composed by Ann Bond.  Do please engage with it and try to learn it – it’s designed for congregational use, and will give us an extra option and therefore greater variety.
READERS Please collect your readings from the sacristy.  Thank you.
ACS LENT BOXES Please return these now.  Thank you.
FORWARD! Plus, the quarterly paper of Forward in Faith, is available in church.  Please take a free copy.
SCHOOL FOUNDATION GOVERNOR Is there anyone out there who would like to learn more about this vacancy?  Fr Stephen is not exactly disappearing under a stampede of potential governors, so please ask yourself if you could do this for us.
MORE SIDESPERSONS NEEDED!  If you would consider helping us with this important ministry of hospitality, please speak to either of the churchwardens.  Thank you.
WANTED – A GENTS’ BIKE of any kind, but needs to be roadworthy.  If you have one you could give away or would sell for a small sum, please let Fr Stephen know – he knows someone who could use it.
Do stay for coffee after the 10.00am Mass.
Please take this bulletin home with you.

SOCIETY OF ST WILFRID AND ST HILDA

Following on from the recent article about this in the Parish Magazine, there are now membership forms at the back of church.  Please make sure that you sign up if you want to see an enduring place in the Church of England for parishes like our own and for all who wish to hold fast to the Church’s historic teaching.  Rather then send the forms back to SSWSH directly, you can hand them to Fr Chris or to Fr Stephen and we will gladly send them back as a batch.  It is hoped that everyone will sign up.
