THIRTY-SECOND ORDINARY SUNDAY
As we approach the end of the liturgical year, the theme of vigilance and being ready begins to come into view. We are urged in the Gospel to ‘stay awake, because we do not know either the day or the hour’ when the bridegroom will come.
We welcome Fr Darren Smith, the General Secretary of the Additional Curates Society, who will concelebrate and give the homily at ten today.
• Toilets are to the left out of the main door.
• Please let young children explore.
• Collection during the second hymn.
• Large print hymn books available on request.

CONFIRMATION MASS Friday 18th November at 7.30pm, with the Bishop of Burnley. Please pray for Dylan Battersby-Hill, Lorna Carr and Marionne Fenol and those from Warton parish; and please would everyone resolve to come and support them on the night.
TWO PLEAS: 1. Please can we sit closer together in church at ten on Sundays. It’s easy to see why those with small children would choose to sit in the side aisles, but please would everyone else could come into the middle rather than sit at the side or the very back. This would make our liturgical celebrations much more cohesive. 2. Noise levels are rising before worship at ten. Large groups of visitors can be noisy, but it’s up to us all to create the right atmosphere for worship, and avoid conversation that can wait until afterwards.
