We can approach God with confidence because Jesus has opened the way for us through his death and resurrection.  Jesus teaches us to address God as ‘Our Father’ and to ask him for what we need in order to live as his sons and daughters.

THANK YOU to all who were able to support last Sunday’s Garden Party at Keer Sands in any way.  In spite of the most dreadful weather, the excellent sum of £860 was raised for church funds.  A very big ‘thank you’ to Anne and Steve Plevey once again, for their hospitality, generosity and hard work.

As the disciples of Jesus today, we are called to be the channels of his peace to those around us.  To be such, we must feed upon Christ in word and sacrament, and in our personal prayer.

WALSINGHAM CELL Visit to the Monastery of Our Lady of Hyning, Tuesday at 7.00pm.  Cost: £5.00 per person.  Sr Michaela will give a talk on Our Lady, and we are invited to join the sisters at Vigils in Chapel at 8.15pm.  The lounge is available to visitors until 10.00pm.

PCC meets on Thursday this week, beginning with Mass at 7.15pm.  PCC members may collect Minutes and Agenda from the file in church today.

HOSPICE SERVICE 2.00pm next Sunday.  If you would like to go, please have a word with Fr Chris.

FORWARD IN FAITH The diocesan AGM is in Thursday 15th July at St George’s, Preston.  Fr Paul Benfield will speak on the July General Synod meeting.  Mass, meeting, and wine and cheese reception, starting at 7.30pm.

ORGAN RECITAL here on Saturday 17th July at 7.30pm, by Ian Pattinson, of Lancaster Priory.  £5.00, children free, including refreshments.  Please decide to come, and bring others.  We have one of the finest pipe organs for miles around and we must do all we can to promote it.  There are some A5 flyers at the back of church.  If you are willing to display one in your car, please take one today.
