We have become the brothers and sisters of Jesus through the sacrament of baptism.  To belong to him means seeking out and doing God’s will in every given situation.

Today, we welcome Molly Louise Theobald, who, by baptism, joins us in the fellowship of Christ’s Universal Church. We welcome her parents, godparents, and all their friends.

*Please pray for Canon Paul Warren of Silverdale parish.  He celebrates Mass to mark his Golden Jubilee of priestly ordination tomorrow at 7.30pm.  We are offering the 7.00pm Mass here for his intentions. Pray, too, for Rev. Susan Seed, to be instituted to Slyne and Halton with Aughton on Thursday.

Adoration Thursday 6.45-7.10pm.

Open Choir Practice/revised liturgy Friday, 7-8pm, to familiarise ourselves with the new texts and some of the new music that will be necessary. We are now in the seventh week of our use of the revised liturgy on weekdays, and people have been making the transition very well.  We are now ready to start using it on Sundays, starting next Sunday. All are welcome; we need everyone’s active help to make this transition as smooth as possible.

Parish Website We are seeking someone to look after our website and help us to make it better and more informative.  Please see Fr Stephen if you could do this for us.

Lectio Divina A number of people said that they would like to have some regular Lectio, following on from when we looked at it in the Lent course.  The intention is to start this in September. Please let Fr Stephen know your thoughts about day/time/location. Only one has expressed a continuing interest so far…

Sponsored Walk recently raised a total of £761.25 (including GIFT AID).  When added to the £520 from the Fashion Show, we now have £1281.25 towards the renewal of the path across the front of church.  Thank you to all!

Garden Party at Keer Sands Please note that the date has been changed – it was to have taken place on Sunday 8th July, but it will now be on Sunday 15th July, 2.00 – 4.00pm.

Advanced Notice The Feast of SS Peter & Paul is on Friday 29th December.  It is a day of Obligation, and so there is a choice of times: Thursday 28th at 7.30pm (Sung Vigil Mass, which meets the Obligation)), then 9.15am on the day.  Fr Stephen then has to cover St Barnabas’ later in the day.  Please note the date/times.
